additional Information

Origin & Age

This kilim was handwoven in Central Asia between 2015 and 2025, reflecting a contemporary take on time-honoured weaving traditions. While newly produced, it draws deeply from Oriental and tribal influences, especially through its colour palette and pattern symmetry. Rugs like this showcase how ancestral techniques continue to thrive in modern interior design.

Style & Design Details

The rug features a calming mi x of grey and khaki, with all-over geometric and zigzag motifs arranged in a repeat format. Its subtle, earthy colours make it ideal for minimalist, modern rustic, or Scandinavian-style interiors. Though neutral in tone, its detailed design gives it strong visual interest without overwhelming the space.

Care & Maintenance

Vacuum gently without a rotating brush to protect the wool surface. Avoid high-moisture areas and direct sunlight to prevent colour fading or fibre weakening. Rotate occasionally and use a rug pad underneath to prevent slipping and ensure even wear. Professional kilim-specific cleaning is recommended every few years.

Craft & Material

Flatwoven entirely from wool using traditional kilim techniques, this rug is both durable and lightweight. The precise spacing of motifs and natural dyes demonstrate the artisan’s attention to detail. Soft underfoot yet structurally sound, it balances visual simplicity with e x pert craftsmanship.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

Client Testimonials & Success Stories with Our Premium Rugs

We have a beautiful Afghan

We have a beautiful Afghan, silk rug that after 30+ years was showing wear across the end fringing. From my first engagement with the Pars Rug Gallery team I could not have been happier. I received an accurate assessment, professional clean and excellent repair – at, what I regard to be, a very fair price. I was kept appraised throughout of the progress of the work. My much loved rug now looks fantastic – thank you to the Pars Rug Gallery team.

From start to finish it was very easy

From start to finish it was very easy to work with the company. I have a large 12ftx 9ft rug that needed a very deep clean and moth treatment. It was recommended to also have some mending done which I hadn’t thought of and WOW! What an amazing repair job!!!! Incredible!!!! I am 110% satisfied with the service and price and look forward to enjoying my rug for many years!

Excellent restoration

From first contacting Pars Rug Gallery to seeing photos of the work in progress and then the final result, it has been a wonderful experience. When Arash came to see our family’s old Persian rug, it was in a sorry state with badly worn patches and edges missing. He was able to tell us all about it and explain in detail the work that could be done to restore it. After 5 months, the work has been completed and I am delighted with the result. The rug is beautiful with the true workmanship and colours now revealed.
